About the Society

The European Menopause and Andropause Society (EMAS) was founded to promote the study of all aspects of the climacteric in both men and women; to organise, prepare and participate in international meetings and congresses on subjects related to Menopause and Andropause; and to advance the interchange of research and experience between members of the society. The statutes of the EMAS have been submitted to and accepted by the Swiss Authorities.

EMAS is recognised by the Swiss Government and acknowledged by the International Menopause Society as the official Regional European Menopause Society.

ECNP is a non-profit member-based association, independently governed and self-funded.

Maturitas is also proud to be affiliated with the Australasian Menopause Society.

Maturitas is an international multidisciplinary peer reviewed scientific journal of midlife health and beyond publishing original research, reviews, consensus statements and guidelines. Articles accepted through this route can expect less than 8 weeks editorial time from submission to publication online. Articles submitted for this route will be checked by the Editor-in-Chief to determine if the criterion for fast publication has been met; if not, articles will be redirected to the normal route of category article.
